Dear Servas National Secretaries and key people in every Servas Country,

I am writing to you to kindly ask you to spread among all the members in your country the news about the International Servas Youth Summer camp that will be held in Italy from 20th to 27th of August, 2017. It is dedicated to young people ages 18-30.

Short Presentation of the Servas Youth Summer Camp

Servas Italy with the collaboration of the Servas Spain Youth Committee invites young members (18-30 years old) to take part to the SERVAS YOUTH SUMMER CAMP in the Alps near Bergamo,  from Sunday august 20^th until Sunday august 27th, 2017.^,

The total cost is 135 Euro and includes loadging and food and the activities during the camp (some optional activities such as kayak and bike rental will have an additional cost).

The event is open to 40-50 members worldwide, aged 18-30.

The program will focus around some themes such as:

• the Human Rights Declaration: being nowadays a Peacebuilder is the  point of arrival;
• to live in contact with the nature, to get to know and respect nature (walking in the woods, trekking, riding a bike or a kayak, doing outdoor activities); we will get to know more about some alpine  realities in the territory (a visit to a cheese factory, etc).
• to get to know the local culture and the multi-cultures. We will meet the locals and their history and music (also multi-cultural, with participation of special guests from other continents too).

The Team of the Summer Youth Camp

The Team that will answer to you is composed by

–       a group of young members from Italy (especially from the area near Bergamo, at the moment);

–       a group of young members from Spain (who already have experience in previous Servas Youth Summer Camps and will help the organization);

–       Raffaella Rota (coordinator in Lombardy region)

–       Susana Martinez from Servas Spain (who has organized Summer Youth Camps before)

–       Anna Cristina Siragusa (member of the Italian Executive Committee of Servas Italy).
